    September 30, 2018, 12:15 PM - 3:00 PM @ Bradford Woods Community Church

As discussed in the last Conservancy Newsletter, the trees of Bradfordwoods (in the Conservancy and in our yards) are aging and at risk. There are not enough saplings and young trees to replace them. To address this problem, we are giving away 100 saplings to community members and providing posts and fencing for their protection in your yards. Choose your favorite: Red Bud; Black Gum; Sweet Bay Magnolia; Birch; or Eastern Red Cedar. Email your choice of tree to Judith Kasten at jckasten@earthlink.net to reserve your sapling. 12:30 - 1:30 Lunch served. Fix a plate, grab a drink, and meander by the different tables. 1:30 - 2 Speaker (TBD) – Trees and their importance in Green Infrastructure 2:00 - 2:30 Tree Planting Dedication and Demonstration 2:30 - 3 Pick up your sapling and fencing Please join us for fellowship, fun and food at the first annual Celebration of Trees!
